Please use a unique email address which is registered with the General Council of the Bar.
For barristers
For practising barristers, this could be your direct practising email address. For unregistered barristers this could be your personal email account.
If the email you choose is not on our records or not unique then you will be taken through a further verification step where you will be asked your Contact ID Number (which was used to login to our previous system Barrister Connect) along with your surname.
For students
You should use the email address on which you received the email from us inviting you to register with MyBar.
For chambers or other organisations.
When creating an account for use by your chambers or other organisation, you should ensure that the email address you use to register with MyBar is not an account already associated with another MyBar user such as an individual barrister within the practice.
Protecting personal data
If you are a barrister or student creating your own account, for security reasons you should avoid using an email address you are aware that others have access to.
This is to ensure that only you can get access to your personal data.
